What Is a Time Capsule?

A time capsule is a container filled with messages and small items from people today, preserved for future generations to discover.

Our capsule will hold stories and memories from residents across our five-county area and will remain sealed until 2076.

Your story will help preserve the history of our community and the role libraries play in connecting people and ideas.

📍 Where is it going?

Mid-Mississippi Regional Library Headquarters in Kosciusko, Mississippi.

✉️ What will we collect?

  • What does America mean to you in the context of our local history?
  • How has the library shaped your pursuit of knowledge and community connection?

We will also include bookmarks, photographs, and messages from local leaders.
