Genealogy/Local History Month

February is “Genealogy/Local History Month” and during this event, we like to put the spotlight on our collection of genealogy/local history material.

All 13 MMRLS library locations offer at least a selection of local history items, however, many branches have fairly extensive collections of family records, microfilm, and archives of old local newpapers, plus much more.

Our Attala County Library branch has a dedicated genealogy librarian with years of experience in the field and will be happy to assist any MMRLS customer during their journey of discovery.

Visit or call your local library for more information.
